Chairman of Hazara Democratic Party (HDP), Hussain Ali Yousufi, was killed by armed terrorists on Jinnah Road in Quetta, Pakistan on Jan 26, 2009. Yousufi was a writer, producer, actor, leader, and a politician. Yousufi's posthumously published book contains his life time work on Hazara culture containing over 2000 Hazargi proverbs with translations in Dari, English and Urdu languages. He was a well-known figure in the Hazara world due to his writing, acting, and production of the best known Hazaragi stage dramas.
