The Tehreek Taliban Pakistan (TTP) splinter Jamat-ul Ahrar (aka ISIS in Afghanistan) claimed responsibility for the attack. Its leader, Omar Khalid Khorasani, was reportedly killed in US Drone this week.
The TTPJA — as well as all major terrorist networks, such as AlQaeda, Al-Shabab, Bokoharam, Taliban, Lashkar-e Jhangvi et. al. — follow Wahhabi / Salafi ideology that is officially practiced in Saudi and GCC nations — allies of the United States and West.
